Arden Teresa Lewis' current theatrical home is Theatre West in Hollywood, where she has performed, produced, and served as Artistic Moderator and Writers Moderator for their acting and writing workshops for 30 years. She last directed "We Are Not Your Cup of Tea" for TW's Asian Pacific Islanders Heritage month 2024 and the world premiere production of Walking in Space, by Garry Michael Kluger at Theatre West, Sept 8-Oct 8, 2023. Arden has earned several awards for theatre, The Night Forlorn, or Waiting on Godsford by Steve Nevil, winner of the Valley Theatre "Best Play" Award, for which she was also nominated as "Best Director". Night Forlorn was 100% Sweet with critics on Better Lemon's 2018 LA Award list. STAGE SCENE LA Awarded her a Scenie for direction for A Thorn in the Family Paw. She won the Lillian Nesburn/Julie Harris award for playwriting for her play, Grandma Good . She has been published twice by Heineman Press in Scenes For Women By Women and More Monologues By Women. Her play Baby Dreams was produced on a grant from Los Angeles’ Cultural Affairs Department at Theatre West in 1994 and her play Little Rhonda has had productions in New York City, at Theatre Geo in Los Angeles, and had the honor of being included in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater’s archival collection of new plays of 1995.
